On August 29, 2005, Hurricane Katrina made landfall in southeast Louisiana and changed our lives forever. By 11:00 a.m. that morning, the eye of Hurricane Katrina had passed directly over St. Bernard Parish and left us with 12’ of standing water which took nearly 2 weeks to subside. In a matter of 3 hours we had lost not only our homes, but also our business. Unlike most of our competitors, Dmitri Pile Driving, Inc. sustained 100% damage and was unable to drive any pilings for over 3 months. However, we worked harder than ever during those months to refurbish our equipment and return our business to its original state. On December 15, 2005 Dmitri Pile Driving drove its first piling post-Katrina.
